Introduction: 3 points  Concise introduction of key content to be discussed in paper. Issue: 12 points  According to the literature why is this an issue of importance to nursing. Solutions/Recommendations: 12 points  According to the research, present possible solutions/recommendations. Conclusion: 3 points  Based on the content you presented, what is your conclusion about your issue. APA, Grammar, Quality of References: 20 points  Title Page  Reference Page  Headings required – Level 1 o no heading for Introduction  In text, do not cite the journal article or book title (just author/date)  Always include page numbers for direct quotations, and use “quotation marks”  synthesize the information and present it in your own words  for this paper, 1-2 short quotations maximum  Language: o Avoid the use of first-person personal pronouns (I, we, my, our) o Do not use contractions o Avoid conversational expressions: sort of, a lot of, like o Refer to studies in the past tense (Jones & Allen found ….)  One point will be deducted for each APA error (for example; 1-point deduction for not italicizing the volume number, regardless of how many volume numbers were not italicized)
